Sharing your inbox

A 42-character address is a bad thing to read out loud. A link is not.

Your Quetz link#

Every inbox has one, and it is just your address as a query parameter:

https://quetz.xyz/app?to=0xYourAddress

Open Share your Quetz at the bottom of the sidebar and the panel gives you the link, a copy button, the share sheet on browsers that have one, direct buttons for WhatsApp, Telegram and X, and a QR code for handing your inbox to someone standing next to you.

What the other person sees#

  • The sign-in screen names the address they are about to message, so they know why they are being asked to connect.
  • After one signature, the conversation with you is already open. There is nothing to paste and nothing to search for.
  • Because they chose to open it, the chat lands in their inbox rather than their requests.

The link is not a secret

It contains your address, which is public anyway. Sharing it lets someone message you, nothing more. It grants no access to your wallet, your funds, or any conversation you have with anyone else.

Linking to anyone, not just yourself#

The parameter is just an address, so ?to= works for any inbox. Point it at a support address in a help article, at a desk address in a trading doc, or at an agent you run.

If the address is not valid, or has no inbox yet, Quetz says so on screen rather than leaving you wondering.
